Valuation for Court Proceedings

In litigation, value is not an opinion — it is evidence. Property division, damages recovery, a corporate dispute or bankruptcy: each of these cases requires an independent, documented value that the opposing party cannot dismantle.

The Kanzas company prepares valuation reports for litigation in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Valuation of Property, Property Rights and Professional Valuation Activity in Ukraine" No. 2658-III and the national valuation standards. Our 20+ years of experience cover all principal asset classes.

When a court needs an independent valuation

  • property division (divorce, inheritance, a participant's exit from a business);
  • recovery of damages and loss of profit;
  • corporate disputes — the value of shares and equity stakes;
  • bankruptcy and liquidation — asset valuation;
  • challenging the results of another valuation.

Assets valued

Real estate and land, businesses and corporate rights, equipment and vehicles, property rights, damages and loss of profit — any asset whose value is in dispute.

The report as evidence: what the law requires

A valuation report must meet the requirements of Law No. 2658-III and the national standards — in content, procedure and substantiation. A weak report is dismantled by the opponent's objections; a strong one closes the question of value. That is why we document the choice of approaches, the selection of comparables and every assumption.

Review and rebuttal of the opponent's valuation

A distinct service within the litigation practice is the critical review of the report submitted by the other side: it exposes methodological errors, flawed comparables and unsupported assumptions. This is often a cheaper and faster route than a fresh valuation.

Forensic examination or independent valuation?

An independent valuation is commissioned by a party; a forensic examination is ordered by the court. In practice, a strong independent valuation report is filed by a party as evidence and often becomes the basis for ordering an examination — or for a settlement. We work in both tracks and support the report: valuer's explanations, answers to questions from the court and the opposing party.

We offer reports that withstand adversarial scrutiny, realistic timelines and an individual approach to your case strategy — coordinating with your legal team. Write to us by email or messenger — we will discuss the case and prepare a fee proposal.

Vehicle valuation for court (road accidents, property division) is a separate service with a fixed procedure.
